It's been a busy week in Mrs. Damjanovich's classes! On April 27th 2 students and Mrs. D went to the Tulip and with the help of Heather Hertz made some beautiful flower arrangements! On April 29th Mrs. D and a student headed out to the Dobitz Ranch were Matt Dobitz showed us how to work a calf after its born. We learned about castration, ear tagging, and how to give a shot subconsciously (under the skin). We also got to check on the other cows in the herd and learn about the beef industry! (We even got to meet a sweet bottle calf :)) Mrs. D and her students so grateful for the community members who are willing to open up their businesses to help educate the students and give them real hands on learning opportunities!

Today Mrs. Damjanovich's class learned about pulling a calf and assisting a cow in birthing. We discussed different reasons why a heifer or cow may need help calving and got to feel how a calf is when it's backwards!

It is Cafe Concert time again! Performances will be Friday, May 8th - Matinee at 12:30 & show at 7:00pm and Saturday, May 9th at 7:00pm. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 27th. Please stop in the school office between the hours of 9:00 & 3:00 to purchase your tickets.

The 4th graders learned a lot about the history of North Dakota and the water cycle from special guest, Mr. Hank LaBore. We enjoyed the many hands-on activities and games he brought to our classroom.
