Kindergarden through 5th grade students enjoyed listening and learning from author Judy Young virtually today. 📚

Hello Jaguars Fans! On Wednesday, March 5, we will send our Jaguar Basketball team off with a few cheers in our school gym from 1:30-1:40pm. Please sign in at the front office if you want to attend. Then, our grade 7-12 students will travel to Elgin for a Pep Rally from 2:15-2:45pm. Students will return before school buses leave. The Pep Rally is open to all GCMR community members. Go GCMR!
The month of March is "Reading Month." The students played rock-paper- scissors for a kickoff activity. The third graders also had the opportunity to buddy read with the sixth grade students.

Just a reminder to get your Family Fun Night sign up slips returned to the school so that we can get an approximate head count for supper. Please return them whether you are able to come or not.

The state girls basketball t-shirts have arrived. If you ordered a shirt they are $15 and can be picked up at the school.
There will be a fan bus heading to the State Tournament in Jamestown. It will leave from the school in Mott at 7:30 on Thursday, March 6. The leave time for Friday & Saturday will be determined by game time on those days. The bus will cost $10/day and will need to be paid ahead of time. Each person will be responsible to pay for the game and any meals. Students under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please call the school to sign up for the Fan Bus by end of day Tuesday, March 4.
We had a morning assembly to kick-off reading month! Students listened to a read aloud book, followed by a rock, paper, scissors tournament. We also had our first day of buddy reading! 📚

Today the Small Animal Care class had a guest speaker! Heather Fischer and her sweet pup Memphis came in to discuss training dogs and even showed us some of her cool tricks! Thanks Heather and Memphis!

Sign up slips for Family Fun Night are coming home this week. If you could return them as soon as possible, whether you are coming or not, it would be greatly appreciated so we can get a proper head count for supper. We are excited to offer different stations from Gateway to Science this year!

Good afternoon! With the Lady Jaguars earning a trip to the State Tournament, the spring break scheduled for March 13 & 14 has been moved to March 6 & 7 to accommodate any families and fans who would like to attend the tournament. We will have school March 3-5, and March 10 -13. Achievement Friday has now been moved to the 14th of March. If you have already signed your child up for Achievement Friday, you will not need to do so again. We are in hopes this will give more fans a chance to cheer on our Jaguars.
Energetic monthly K-6 assembly to end the week, starting with a K-12 SEND-OFF for our GBB Jaguar team! Go get 'em, girls!

The 5th graders were featured in the Hettinger County Herald.

We are once again selling tickets in March for our Quilt Raffle. Students in grades Kindergarten through 6th Grade are able to sell tickets. Please send a note to Missy at the school to give permission for your child to sell tickets. The drawing will be held Thursday, March 27, at the school gym at 3:00. Thanks to the Gary & Tia Honeyman family for donating the quilts.

On Friday, students from 7th-9th grade went to Richardton to compete in the Middle School Acalympics competition. Congratulations to Lyncoln, Hannah, Shaunie, Riley, Quinn and Maddison on a great competition!
