Our Biology students are taking learning beyond the classroom through hands-on training in water quality sampling for the Cannonball River Citizen Science Initiative (CRCSI)!
A huge thank you to Environmental Scientist Meredith Miller ,NDDEQ watersheds Management Program for sharing her expertise and guiding our students through proper water sampling techniques, safety protocols, and field procedures. We are also grateful to Kerstan Cole, SCD Manager from the Soil Conservation District,Hettinger County for supporting our students and helping provide the resources needed for this research.
This experience is more than just collecting water samples—it’s about building scientific skills, understanding our local environment, and empowering students to become citizen scientists.
