Fire Prevention Week 2025

Fire Prevention Week started off with a fire drill at the school. Students filtered out of the building in a timely manner. After that, the elementary school had an assembly led by our local firefighters. Jimmy Pouncey, Hunter Crist, and Logan Haberstroh were here from the Mott Fire Brigade and Chris Carlson, Scott Schenck, and Tristan Foley represented the Regent Fire Department. Students were reminded to check and change the batteries on their smoke detectors and to have fire drills at their houses. They were taught about fire blankets and how to use them. All K-12 families were gifted with a fire blanket for their home from the Mott Fire Brigade. The students asked and answered questions about fire prevention. Before the assembly ended, the firefighters were pressured to race and see who could put their turnout gear on the quickest. The students always love that.

After the assembly, the students had a chance to explore the firetrucks and use the sirens. It's always quite noisy, but the students love it and learn a lot about the trucks.Fire Prevention Week 2025Fire Prevention Week 2025Fire Prevention Week 2025Fire Prevention Week 2025Fire Prevention Week 2025Fire Prevention Week 2025Fire Prevention Week 2025Fire Prevention Week 2025Fire Prevention Week 2025Fire Prevention Week 2025
