Elementary Music - Ms. Michelle Koepplin

  • Welcome to the Elementary Music Page!

SPRING CONCERT 2017: Thursday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. featuring music of the 1960s. BEGINNING BAND--Near the middle of April, FOURTH grade students will get the opportunity to try various band instruments. If interested in joining beginning band, students will be required to rent an instrument and buy a book. If there is an instrument in the family, make sure it is playable and ready to go by taking it for a check-up at your favorite music store. I suggest renting an instrument. If the instrument needs repair, it is covered through the rental agreement. When buying an instrument outright, further repair is your responsibility and they can be challenging to sell if the student decides band is not what they thought. Percussion candidates will only play mallets the first year (concert bells or marimba). If there is no piano in the home for practice, I recommend renting a bell kit.
