    Parliamentary Procedure

This is a contest in which the six chapter officers compete in.  Representing the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, and Sentinel. These members' main objective is to accomplish items of business that relate to the chapter.  In the contest, they are given a prepared set of motions and specific topics to discuss in front of three judges.  The demonstration must last no longer than 10 minutes. The officers are judged on how well they state their required motions, discussion relating to the motion, voice clarity, and poise.  Each team is judged as a whole and the individual officers are evaluated according to the same criteria.  The team is given an overall score and an "Officer of the Day" award is given to the outstanding officer at each position.

The chapter first competes at the District Leadership contest at the beginning of October, and if it wins first place, the team members advance on to state competition, with the chance of representing North Dakota at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, KY.
