• Career Development Events build on what you learn in your agricultural education classes and FFA. The events are designed to help you prepare for agricultural careers. They cover technical skills and knowledge. These events also advance the leadership, interpersonal, thinking and communication skills that lead to your career successes. They let you practice making decisions and deal with both competition and teamwork. North Dakota has many different CDEs that FFA members can take part in. The Public Speaking and Quiz events occur during District Leadership. Ag Sales, Livestock Judging, Crops Judging, and Small Animal Care occur during the winter season. Tractor Driving, Range Judging and Land and Homesite Evaluation occur during the summer months. The other CDEs occur at our State Convention in June. Be sure to check the calendar to see when these events take place. Click on the CDE on the left to learn more about each!
